You follow a plan and know what you are going to do next, that is, firstly you teach a grammar point, give examples, ask questions to your students and write some words on the board to prepare a reading, a listening or a mini test.

You don´t follow a fixed plan and do lots of practice, you don´t provide a summary of the coming activities and try new things. Every class is a surprise despite of the fact that you follow your own, personal schedule.
