“You know what I like? Unicorns” (A. Kirkland)

7 August 2011

  (Arthur Kirkland, @england_en)

Believe it or not you can make friends with a robot. As a matter of fact human beings are sociable: we like talking a lot. Many years ago we used to go for a walk with our brothers and friends, flirt with girls – or go fishing 😉 . We loved pets such as cats, dogs and parrots. Some guys fancied turtles, guinea pigs, iguanas.

Well, as you may well know, this is the Tech Era. It is mobile phones´turn and internet. The time has come for the blogging and Twitter chants. Everybody shows their virtual profile via facebook or Twitter. We share links, photographs and music. We tell stories and chat, we say hello to anyone we don´t even know. Now we love robots and netbooks.

It is not a bad idea therefore to learn English via Arthur Kirkland (twitter alias : @england_en twitterbot)

I have been searching on the internet about A.K and I learnt that he is a famous fictional character in Japanese Manga comics. There have been created role plays and video games based on himself and some other characters. The question is that Arthur has got a robot voice on Twitter and you may be one of his followers in order to learn English, and if you fancy, start the discovery of a fictional world.

From : Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia
England, also known as the United Kingdom or Britain, is depicted as an irritable young man. A former pirate, he is now a cynical and sharp-tongued gentleman. Some of his notable character traits include his terrible cooking skills, foul mouth, ability to see supernatural creatures (“imaginary friends”), and ability to perform magic curses on his enemies. Britain is most antagonistic towards France, with whom he shares a long rivalry, and America, his former charge. He’s usually recognized for his large eyebrows, spiky blond hair and green eyes.
