Este documento es un recordatorio práctico para el viajero despistado y olvidadizo. En fin, con la ayuda de esta hoja quizás no tenga que echar en falta ningún elemento de su equipaje una vez se encuentre en su destino.

NOTA: Obsérvese que este listado está pensado solo para hombres. Si entre los lectores hay una mujer dispuesta a facilitar un listado solo para mujeres, cuente con un espacio en este blog para compartirlo.

I am a teacher crazy enough to nickname my students´ textbook Tom and my students´ workbook Jerry. Yes, I feel crazy enough to refer to our MOODLE space as Moe (the barman at the Simpsons), the bilingual pocket dictionary, D. I (di ai) and the customized worksheets on grammar, vocabulary and stuff, P.Pa.

Libros, rotrings y blocs

Huelo los libros, los huelo. Disfruto el momento, el olor del papel nuevo y virgen, la tinta. El tacto de la cubierta, las ilustraciones y el peso total del libro en mis manos. Alguien como yo es feliz con muy poco: un rotring y un inoxcrom, blocs y moleskines, un portaminas y libros para leer.

Writing in blocs, using dictionaries, learning

24 March 2012

I think that there is a tendency on the students´ part to write less. Maybe, this might happen because students nowadays don´t like writing long texts or copying sentences. Who knows? Perhaps the growing use of new technologies in schools is showing teachers evidence of the students´s search of immediate information at the fast movement of a mouse click. Some people might have the wrong idea that one learns just by listening.

Learning implies effort, writing and notebooks.

Every student of a foreign language should have three companions in his rucksack; namely, bloc, pens and a good dictionary.
