1.Lexical verbs can be REGULAR or IRREGULAR
Regular Verbs have a regular ending in –ED in the past form and the past participle form. See:
to play (INFINITIVE form) played (PAST form) played (PAST PARTICIPLE form): JUGAR
to work worked worked : TRABAJAR
to spell spelled spelled: DELETREAR

Irregular verbs do not have a regular ending. These verbs have different forms. Sometimes all three forms are the same. See:
to quit quit quit: ABANDONAR
to write wrote written: ESCRIBIR

2.How to conjugate lexical verbs in the past simple tense
aff.-                                                              neg.-
I /you saw.yo/tú vi (viste)                           I / you did not see
she saw                                                         she did not see.ella no vio
we / you / they saw                                     we / you / they did not see

int.-
Did I / you see?
Did she see?
Did we / you / they see? .¿vimos nosotros?
